ABOUT

Domus Design and Build specialises in remodelling, restoring or simply decorating internal spaces to realise their full potential.

We take your vision and bring it to life, offering ideas and alternatives to complement your own thoughts and aspirations.

Embarking on a project to enhance any room in your home can be daunting. And while you may have an overall idea of what you want, bringing these ideas to fruition, with the multitude of factors that need to be put in motion, is a skilled operation.

Chris Holwell

Chris at Domus has the skill-set to put all these elements into place for the smooth execution of any project. He has a degree in fine art and design, as well as senior construction project management and IOSH health-and-safety qualifications, and has spent almost 30 years on the tools, creating environments tailored to his clients’ wishes. He is a member of the Society of British and International Interior Design.

Domus also has trusted tradespeople at hand to cover any eventuality, from electricians and plumbers to bricklayers and paperhangers. Any tradesperson needed for a project will be managed by Domus in order to ensure that all the different processes are embedded into a proper sequence of works, and thus achieve the objectives that have been set. All work is fully insured and quality is guaranteed.

Following an initial get-together to discuss ideas, the project can then be developed using computer-aided designs if needed, which can be reviewed and tweaked to produce a detailed project plan. A fixed price quote can then be put forward, incorporating all the elements and trades, for successful completion of the project.

Domus is based in the West End of Folkestone, Kent. This is an area rich in period properties that offer great home interior design potential for either sympathetic restoration or more adventurous remodelling, using period features set against more modern aesthetics.

Embracing the differences between old and new is one of Domus' signature styles: contrasting these looks and building methods correctly can deliver stunning results that are often resistant to looking dated.
